Mrs Kalyani Veturi, is a member of International Dance Council,UNESCO and Artistic Director of SREE MAYURI DANCE ACADEMY – Cleveland, is a renowned Kuchipudi artist residing in Cleveland area from past 12 years.

She was introduced to Kuchipudi at the age of 6 by her Mom.Under the tutelage of her guru Sree Vedantam Ramalinga Sastry garu, she imbedded the rigorous technique of the Kuchipudi with strong foundation along with the art of Satvika Abhinaya. For more than 25 years, her journey with this dance style has continued.

Kalyani Veturi has attained a grade(B) artist status from Doordarshan in India and was one of the shortlisted Candidate for AP Cultural Affairs Scholarship , held at SalarJung Museum, Hyderabad.

While residing in India, Kalyani performed along with her guru all over South India at reputed auditoriums in Hyderabad.

After performing extensively in South India, her journey with Kuchipudi continued in the USA, which is her home now after marriage, where she evolved as an independent choreographer, performer and teacher.

Her performances in the US to name a few are, One World Day at Cleveland Cultural Gardens, Natya Seva, Cleveland Asian Festival Preview Live, Cleveland Tyagaraja Festival and Cavaliers Pre-Game performance representing TANA.

In order to pass her passion for the Kuchipudi art-form to youngsters and adults alike, she founded SREE MAYURI DANCE ACADEMY. Unafraid of experimenting with traditional kinetics and modern music, and yet keeping the age-old traditional Kuchipudi movements, Kalyani creates her own trail with her uniqueness.
